“An ultra-intense Spaghetti” : Prof. J-P Wolf talks about the laser rod on the German National Radio

Prof. Jean-Pierre Wolf from the UNIGE team gave an interview on the German National Radio about laser rods. “These laser pulses are so intense that they change the characteristics of the air, they ionize the air and create an electrically charged channel, which has a diameter of only one tenth of a millimeter, but can be very long, up to 100 meters.
